How to Choose a Whipped Body Butter: A Guide to Our Essential Oil Blends
Share
Choosing the right body butter for you
If your skin prefers something richer than a lotion, a whipped body butter is a simple place to start.
Our whipped hand and body butters are made with shea butter, cocoa butter, coconut oil, jojoba oil and vitamin E. There’s no added water and no unnecessary fillers. Just a rich blend of butters and plant oils, whipped into a light texture that’s easy to apply.
The main difference between each one is the essential oil blend.
So, which should you choose?

Alba Calm — Lavender & Cedarwood
Herbal lavender with the warm, woody scent of cedarwood.
Alba Calm is a good choice if you prefer quieter, earthy fragrances rather than bright citrus or floral blends.
The rich whipped butter base makes it particularly lovely to use after a bath or shower, or whenever dry skin needs a little extra care.
Choose Alba Calm if you like: lavender, woody scents and gentle herbal blends.
Cairn Light — Lemon, Pepper & May Chang
Fresh, citrusy and a little spicy.
Cairn Light combines lemon and may chang essential oils with pepper for a brighter blend with a bit more bite to it.
It’s a good one for anyone who prefers fresh citrus scents rather than floral or earthy fragrances.
Choose Cairn Light if you like: citrus, fresh scents and a touch of spice.
Heather Brae — Orange, Lavender & Patchouli
A balanced blend of citrus, herbal and earthy notes.
Sweet orange brings the citrus, lavender adds a softer herbal note and patchouli gives the blend its deeper, earthier base.
If you find choosing between citrus, floral and earthy fragrances difficult, Heather Brae sits comfortably somewhere in the middle.
Choose Heather Brae if you like: orange, lavender and warm earthy scents.
Moor Petal — Patchouli & Rose Geranium
Floral, earthy and distinctive.
Rose geranium brings a fresh botanical note while patchouli gives Moor Petal its deeper, earthier character.
It’s one of our bestselling whipped body butters and a good choice if you enjoy floral fragrances but don’t want anything overly sweet.
Choose Moor Petal if you like: rose geranium, patchouli and botanical floral scents.
